Drunkison or Soberison?

Who do you prefer?

Uptight and boring Soberison or awesome Drunkison who does that weird tongue thing where it looks like she's trying to get the last drop from her lips?

Alison is a complex, compelling character. She was raised to be a good student, responsible, respectable and hard-working and she tried to live up to her parents expectations. But even when she becomes president of D &D she says she has no one to be proud of her. Her parents were vile. Her dad molested her as a child and her mother refused to believe her. Sober she was boring and uptight because she was full of fear about her image and job but drunk, she was free, wild and outspoken. Both sides to Alison were very good acting.

Alison alienated people when she became president of D&D. Jo was right when she said attitude would not keep Alison on top.

Drunk or sober, Alison never could keep it professional.

Alison being the president of D&D was hilarious and made no sense at the same time.

Hello!!! Who promotes a woman who not only got out of rehab a few weeks ago plus with her attendance record? And then there's her behavior at work in general...

reply

I know! And even without Amanda, she was screwing up as president. Not getting written confirmation from a vendor? HELLO! I knew to do that as a low-level clerk! Not telling Jo what she wanted in a photo shoot, then blaming her for having it "wrong"?

I actually have this fan book about MP that I found when it was still on air (yes I admit it). In it CTS said that her actual sister worked in a similar office environment at the time and would tease her about the storyline. Stuff to the effect of "You mean to tell me Alison screwed up all this stuff before and yet they decide to suddenly promote her to head of D & D?"

"You met me at a very strange time in my life"

I'm not a Alison hater. She's one of my fave but I really enjoyed drunk Alison

reply

Drunkison for sure! I LOVED her nerve as she spit words of venomous contempt for Amanda. Just loved it.
