Folk Actress Marianne Lindner is dead at 93
The Bavarian folk actress Marianne Lindner is dead. She died at the age of 93 years in Gmund on the Tegernsee (district of Miesbach) as a result of a fall, as her daughter reported on Sunday.
The funeral is scheduled to take place in Gmund, where Marianne Lindner lived until her death last Thursday. There is no time yet. Marianne Lindner was born in Bad Blankenburg (district of Saalfeld-Rudolstadt) and grew up in Thuringia until she was 18 years old.
Together with her second husband Siegfried Lindner she ran the "Siegfried Lindner stage" for two decades. In the 1960s, the actress was known for her numerous roles in the BR "Komödienstadel". Lindner had several guest appearances at the theaters such as the Münchner Kammerspielen and played in more than 100 television productions.
