Yes. That's what makes her funny. The spoon story is funny because we find out she stole TWO spoons.

I agree. She lies like she breaths the air around us. Sadly some people are like that. I have a few family members like that. I just don't get lying, stealing or manipulating people.
But, on a sitcom this is funny. It's funny because you can't believe she did that.

That's part of the charm and magic of the character as it was written, I believe. She can be mean as hell and hilarious all at once.
