Thank God You're Here...

Anyone watching this?

I watch it occasionally. Sadly, it's not that entertaining. I watch it out of loyalty to the gang, because I think, "If I don't watch it, who else will?!"

It would have been good if they got real celebrities to join in, not just C-grade comics.

An odd choice of programming from Working Dog, I think...

I was expecting something amazing because they'd been gone for so long and I thought they must have been thinking up something very cool, but... no such luck.

Middle age?! Surely not!!

I liked the idea after the first episode. I thought they'd get celebrities like... Joan Kirner, like they did in The Late Show! That would have been fun.

But it was pretty much the same people, week after week! Do you think it was intended like that? Or other people just didn't want to do it, so they had to stick with the same "celebrities"?

Surely they could have got Mick Molloy to do an episode. Or Rob could have jumped on stage. Or SOMETHING to liven it up a bit!

And now it's come to it's "final episodes". Is that intended too, or did it get the axe early?

At the Logies, Darryl Somers spoke to Tommy G and praised him on the show, and the excellent ratings it was getting. Was he sh*t-stirring?! Or has it really gone okay?

On the contrary, ratings for this show are spectacular. Coming in at 2nd or 3rd most watched shows of the week. Working Dog originally wanted to do only eight episodes but after the ratings it was getting channel ten convinced them to 2 more to bump it up to a series of 10.

Are you all kidding?

TGYH is possibly the biggest hit of the year, it just got the number one ratings spot in Melbourne and is so good it has been picked up in America.

The Working Dog team have done it again, and this will mostly be the last season because WD don't like milking their shows, and have other projects they want to get on with.
