Has anyone ever met Rob, Tom, Santo, Mick or Tony?

Just wondering if anyone has. If so, what were they like?

I was lucky enought to attend the filming of both the Late Show and the Panel. When I was at the Late Show, I was fortunate enough to meet all but Tom G. Had a few drinks with them. Really nice guys.

I went to Judith Lucy's show at the MICF in Melbourne a few years ago, and got invited backstage after the show (I was chosen for her 'Ask A Young Person' segment and was wearing an 'I Love Judith Lucy' top.) She was absolutely lovely, despite the hardened persona. I got my tshirt signed and a photo, she was more than happy to chat with me, my mum and cousin. I met Meshel Laurie the next night (at the ABC Studios when Spicks and Specks was being filmed) and she said that Judith is in fact very shy and we were very lucky to have met her. :D

I can't pretend I've ever met any of them, but my cousin has met Jane Kennedy on a number of occassions. Once was at some kind of 'shares launch' for Westend Market in Sunshine in Melbourne where they were seated at the same table together. I'm not sure what year that was, but it must have been late 80's-early 90's. Neither Jane nor my cousin invested.

They also met lated on when my cousin played a whipcracker on Frontline, and played alongside and was directed by Jane, with Santo working the camera. She remembered my cousin from the shares launch (he's hard to forget once you've met him). He actually still has a residual cheque from an overseas sale of Frontline which was signed by Tommy G. Instead of cashing it, he had it framed.

My own experiences with Late show cast are limited to seeing Santo at the football once (taller than I expected), and seeing Jason at a cafe in Carlton in about 2005 (and he hadn't aged at all since his Late Show days).

As an aside, a close friend of mine is supervised by John Harrison, who frequently appeared on the Late Show. He was the guy who said 'bloody Liberals' at the end of the Ron's Barney segment in the Last Aussie Auteur mockumentary. Anyway, Harrison absolutely WILL NOT talk about his acting days, and is known to become quite agitated when it's mentioned. I was directing a short film some years ago, and I asked my friend if he could arrange a meeting for me so I could ask Harrison to play a role, but my friend said there was no way, and if he tried, it might cost him his job. Aside from that, he says that Harrison is basically a decent (though tough) guy.

I once walked past Rob Sitch when I was walking home from work one afternoon, on Toorak Road, South Yarra. This was, I don't know, maybe 2007, 2008-ish?
