Season 2 curse?

I have been watching season 2 lately and started noticing a trend that continued through the end of the season. What do the following have in common?

Bruno Kirby
Phil Hartman
Tom Snyder
Tommy Newsom
Ed McMahon
Gene Siskel
John Ritter
Warren Zevon
Chris Farley

Well, they all guested on Larry Sanders in season 2 and they are all deceased now. OK, the season is 19 years old and some of them (McMahon, Snyder) were getting up there in age, but the rest of those names died young. Even worse, Siskel, Ritter, and Zevon appeared in the same episode. Seemed like an unusually high number to me anyway.

Downwards is the only way forwards.

I agree. It's kinda spooky sometimes when the episodes are watched so close together.
