It's the scene in the opening credits of seasons 1 and 2 where Peter says "I'm not my father i don't do kung fu i'm a cop that's who i am thats what i do".I recently re-watched seasons 1 and 2 of this show again and i have'nt come across this scene in any of the episodes.Did i miss it somewhere or was it shot specifically for the opening credits.

They didn't make that scene for the opening credits.
I'm pretty sure that scene is in the pilot which took place before the series began. Otherwise, it's in the series itself. It's definitely a scene that always plays during every normal re-run cycle of the show. Normal re-run cycles play the pilot as the first episode of the series. Maybe your manner of viewing has excluded the pilot?

I liked it when they changed the series opening credits so that that scene was deleted and instead Peter says, "We're a team." The show never really developed the idea that Peter was not his father and doesn't do Kung Fu. Actually, the show went in the opposite direction. But, that might have been interesting if they stuck with their original idea. I wonder why they didn't.
The German DVD set that i have includes the tv movie pilot for the series as well as all season 1 episodes.But i don't recall having seen that scene on the show.It's possible i missed it.

I watched the series multiple times, and I never saw that scene in any episode. Perhaps it was originally included in one, and got deleted, but made a good clip for the opening credits so that's where they used it.
