Especially in later seasons.I can look past some of it as shaolin mysticism such as psychic visions and dimensional and spiritual travel.But scaling up and down walls and cliff sides like Spider-man,making guns become hot or using telekinesis to unlock doors.Or even being able to magically heal himself of wound or burns in minutes.It seemed like as the seasons went on they were trying to turn him in to a superhero complete with super powers.He's suppose to be an enlightened holy man not an indestructible superman.

I agree that his powers got ridiculous. Let's not forget how he can materialize in and out of jail at will.

The show was pretty silly by the end. Time travel by eating herbs and meditating, scaling walls. Caine essentially became a superhero by the end of the series able to pull out any super power the situation called for.

As for the psychic visions and dimensional and spiritual travel. Google the U.S Goverment Star Gate project. I am not talking about the movie and tv shows . The Star Gate program was ran by the goverment to remote view places and some people involved in the project said the could view any place in time.

Personally I treat it kinda like a live-action anime, I think Kung Fu would be so amazing as an anime and his crazy skills would feel more at home, I think (and nobody would need a stunt double in order to throw a kick convincingly :P) but I agree, it really goes beyond martial arts fantasy, you can tell Kung Fu began in the 70s when not much was known about kung fu in the West :) I kinda enjoy the hokeyness of it but it does make me feel a touch silly when I try to get people to take it seriously like when a friend asked me what it's about coz he's never seen it lol

Kung fu movies are like porn. There's 1 on 1, then 2 on 1, then a group scene...

I remember he could slap Peter from a few feet away. Like pat at the air and Peter would feel it like he was actually slapped. A tk slap?
