What do you make of the comedy epsiodes?

The likes of Stone Of Scone, Unusual Suspects, Double Eagle,Money No Object,Till Death.I liked most of them.I thought it was a great idea to have really dark episodes at times and then throw in some light hearted spoofs now and again. But I can also see why some fans wouldn't like them and would think they were a bad idea. The only two I didn't like were Dramatic License and even though Richie's my favourite character I didn't like Ransom Of Richard Redstone.

What do you think?

I liked them for the simple reason that the show occasionally got into "phoning it in" with an all too episodic, Duncan takes one jabroni bad guy head an episode, mode. I prefer a great linear story arc over a season with a few lighter episodes thrown in.

I loved them to me it was good to just have fun once in a while amongst all the heavy darker stuff im just glad they never did a singing episode like Xena did

Loved them, even some that werent really comedic but had really good humor. Agree with some who also pointed out the need to "lighten" things up after having some real dark. The ones with Roger Daltrey (Hugh "Fitz" Fitzcain) were really good, AP and he really played off each other well. I remember, didnt mind the 2 that buddyboy28 didnt care for, and right now am re watching the series, on season 1 epi Mountain Men, been awhile since I have watch the full series.

I didn't mind those episodes at all.. for me the greatest part of it was all the banter between the recurring characters. Not to mention the really dark parts, unexpected deaths of major characters. Just made it all seem more realistic and not just a fantasy.

I like some of them, others not so much.
Of the comedy episodes my favorite is easily "Til Death".

Yes, they make for a nice change of pace.

I think there always needed to be a light-hearted episode of a show like this from time to time. It's heart, humor, and action (though not necessarily in three equal parts every time) that make great TV one hour shows.

I agree!
