Highlander/X-files crossover

I'm in the middle of watching the original X-File series. Like Highlander, much of it was filmed in Canada and they share several of the same guest stars. The fan boy in me started thinking, An X-file/Highlander crossover would have been great. A story involving Scully, Mulder, Duncan, the watchers and more could have been a lot of fun.

Yeah, you're right. The X Files was such a unique show that you could've imagined or even made a crossover with almost any other Sci-Fi or light fantasy show. The crossover with Millenium was pretty fun and it's too bad they backed out of the planned crossover with Picket Fences. And American Gothic (the 1995 show) could've fit well with Skully's religious episodes. Besides, the Immortals are just aliens from Zeist, right? :D

True, that would have been fun, and I'm pretty sure there is some fan-fiction telling a few of these tales.

I find myself wondering who would work best with Scully/Mulder.. Duncan I would like to think is too cautious to communicate too much to the FBI, as would Methos be, although it's not entirely out of the question when it comes to fanfiction.. however, I think Richie would be an interesting one since he's a bit more naive and might be a more likely candidate to be manipulated into revealing immortal details to a wily Mulder. Duncan etc could be involved but not necessarily reveal they are immortal too, unless as fate would have it, the X-files duo witness something that can't be denied.

Yeah, wouldn't it have been great if Scully and Mulder had discovered that Alex Krycek (Nicholas Lea) was really the immortal Corey Raines-- although what happened to Krycek was pretty unbelievable without throwing any immortal revelations into the mix.

Hmmm, wonder if me creative writing brain could come up with a story or 3...loved both shows and also loved the "update" x files that came out, more maybe coming, hope...though if could have had crossover during the original, wonder what the "smoking man" (to lazy to look up what they gave as his real name) would have done or had to say, (and I kinda also think of him as the main enemy of Mulder and Scully)...Now that this idea, wish had wondered before, has been put in my head, how soon will it come out on paper. Yes paper, I is a right hand pen to paper writer and have at times had to re read what I wrote to know what was written. Though as can tell here, I is horrid at editing and can not creative type, have tried.

At one time, writing was like my best friend and only shared with a couple of people, 1 of whom was over 10yrs older and thought I should publish, at the time, that though horrified me, now, would under a diff name as NOT wanting that 20 mins that is 18 to 19 mins too long of fame so many are "staving/searching" for, but need someone to edit and type it out, with 2 exceptions that are published anomalously to help with suicide prevention.

Dont ya just "love" reading run on nonsense that really is not that interesting to see...yes I am making fun of me self, though if anyone likes editing, though how to with or though a thing like this about a old tv show called Highlander, to actually be able to edit me, well ok should end this now as already typed too much

How about Mulder and Scully investigate reports of someone coming back from the dead(Duncan). Or an investigation that involves very old cases. They could come across a picture of Duncan in the files, and then Duncan himself. Maybe an FBI agent is a Watcher. Either obstructing them, or going along to solve a case but keeping the secret.
