what was the similar show?

its been so long i dont remember where i wathed the heights back then, if it was fox or mtv or what. but i remember it vanished pretty quick and i didnt know it was cancelled and was always wondering where the next episode was. and one day i would say maybe just a couple months after it vanished i was switching over to see if it was there but instead there was some other show on. it was like the exact same show but the band was totally different, it had me confused as hell. i only saw the other show once or twice and all i remember was the guitarist. he was kind of a douche skaterish kid, he looked like 16 and the sides of his head were shaved and the the top was pulled back into like a braided ponytail thing to about his collar. and he wore a regular black leather biker style jacket.

im just trying to figure out what that other show was?

thanks for the reply. that does not look like the show im thinking of though. the one im thinking of seemed a little meaner if that makes sense and in a more concrete city type location. this california dremas looks very saved by the bellish.

OP hasn't replied but I'm pretty sure you're right -- "Catwalk" I remember around the same time as "The Heights", I remember Neve Campbell in Catwalk (and not much else).

I remember that one, and recalled someone singing the song where I worked back then when the show came out, The Heights, that is, and the song became big on the radio.

There was the second show, which all I recalled was they had a big muscle black guy like the fellow in C+C Music Factory, whose job in the band was to dance.

Just dance.

They were looking for a new lead singer and they found her, a black woman with short cropped hair. I think she worked as a waitress somewhere.

She stopped by the band's rehearsal for an audition and she sang If I Were Your Woman, by Gladys Knight and the Pips, of course.

That was going to be this show's song, I guess. A remake.

Ikept thinking about Catwalk, but for some reason, I wasn't sure.

And no, I'm not the original poster.

Catwalk! Was bummed out when they cancelled both shows. Loved Hope & JT & when it looked liked they were going to pair them up, they cancelled The Heights. Wished that AS would have moved those characters to Melrose Place.
