I can't belive this show did run longer!

I thought it was a great show , I don't understand why it did not reach a solid audience

I loved this series too - but they moved the time around a lot. I think they initially lined it up against some strong competition. I loved both the Washington. DC/romance version of the story and the small town/married life story.

The show's time was always jumping around of course and that may also have contributed to the sho'ws demise but alot of the reason was also the very conservative backlash to executive producer's Linda Bloodworth-Thomason's political activisim. I remember conservative talk show hosts were always picking on her and her involvement with Bill Clinton's campaign. I remember clearly one particular talk show host railing on her and her new show (Heart's Afire) as examples of the Hollywood elite taking over America with their "liberalism".

Bullcrap, if you ask me. Heart's Afire was a great show and this show (along with the later episodes of Night Court) revealed how stunnignly gorgeous Markie Post was. Damn she was hot!!!

I just saw the first episode from the 1st season on Hulu and this show's pretty horrible.

I can't believe some bozo in another thread that this was Ritter's best show. This show is not even .0000001% as good as 3's Company or 3's a Crowd!!

Hint, maybe this show failed so badly because it was oozing with left wing liberals like Post and the creators Thomason group. No one wants to see these left over left wing liberals anymore, it was a waste of time and money.

i want to see left wing liberal shows as i am a left wing liberal and always will be. i ve always loved anything linda bloodworth thomason did and always will. republicans are the biggest bunch of hypocritical, closed minded, ignorant, stupid, lying sacks of crap who only care about money and them selves.

Yall mind hanging back? Your jamming my frequences.

It's a fun show. It definitely should have run longer than it did.

In addition to having been made the object of political attacks, the show was considered too blatantly sexual for network TV, which is why I loved it. How could it NOT be sexy. Just have Markie Post stand in a corner and BREATHE, and you have sexy.

And it was sexy in a profound way, a visceral way, that the jiggle-sex of Three’s Company could not begin to approach: getting laid versus wacking off.
