Hearts Afire episodes on Amazon

I noticed that all 54 episodes of Hearts Afire are now available on Amazon Video. They can be streamed for free by Amazon Prime members.

I hope this means more people will find the show and become fans.

Thanks for letting us know. I'll add it to my watchlist. I've loved everything that John Ritter has done.

You're welcome. It's too bad this series didn't run four or five years. The seasons seemed to get shorter-- the first year had 22 episodes; the second year had 16; and the third year just 14 episodes. But they're fun to watch and John looks a lot healthier than he did in 8 Simple Rules.

Thanks for the heads up! I love the 2 cute sons...

You're welcome!

The younger son who gets all those long-winded speeches cracks me up. He's a real scene stealer.

The show is awesome. I can't believe it was cancelled so soon.

If I remember correctly, it underperformed during the first season. By this, I mean it wasn't a huge hit like CBS expected. They basically thought it would be as popular as Designing Women and Evening Shade, but that didn't quite happen. Hearts Afire was brought it back for a second season and retooled. Now John, Markie, Billy Bob and the kids were placed in a different setting, joined by new supporting characters. But CBS bounced it around the schedule so much, it was hard for audiences to find. Somehow the show was brought back for a third season, but it was cancelled abruptly in the middle of the third year without any real closure. It deserved a better fate.
