Which captain did you like the best?

Of all the 3 police capt., which one was your favority? I liked them all, but my true favorite was always Amanda Cohen. She was both tough and really sweet. I still miss her.

I really missed Captain Stonetree at the beginning of Season 2, still do. There was no reason in the storyline for him leaving, was there?
I think women in positions of authority generally like to "put the immature boys right" all the time. I may be female, but it's a mighty tedious approach.
Not sure if Cohen lightened up over time, or if I just resigned myself to Stonetree's absence. He was both balanced and likeable, despite being in charge never that schoolteacher tone.
Haven't seen Season 3 yet. Expecting an improvement though.

Come to think of it, besides Janette, there were few females (characters/actresses) that worked for me in this series.

That's my 2 cents worth.

Blu Mankuma (the third one) is one of my favorite actors but I liked the first one best. Fun Fact: Blu played a grim reaper in the pilot episode of Dead Like Me, another terrific series.

i liked the second captain as well, blue mkenna, (sp).....

The storyline was that during the break between S1 and S2 Knight and Schanke were transferred from one precinct to another precinct, thefore they inevitably had a new captain.

Stonetree and Cohen were my favorites. I was unhappy with her at first, but she grew on me. As much as I like Blu, I prefer the other two to him. He just seemed too complain-y and irritant to be a Captain.

Joe Stonetree (Gary Farmer) and Amanda Cohen (Natsuko Ohama). I gotta agree with you about the charming way Natsuko potrayed Cohen as a tough gal with a big heart deep down.

didnt' realise that the first was gary farmer....so we had everyone...a native in the role a black in the role, as well as an asian in the role....hmmmm other american shows should learn from this....i tell you

I liked both male captains and didn't care for the female.

Stonetree.

If I want Sookie, I can simply take her.

Captain Stonetree was my favourite, but Blu Mankuma as Captain Joe Reese in S3 was an improvement over Amanda Cohen.

STONETREE!!!

Captain Stonetree was awesome. He was funny, lovable, and the most understanding when it came to Nick and Schanke's shenanigans. And when he had to be authoritative, he did it in a respectful and "firm but gentle" way. Plus Gary Farmer is EPIC and adorable! And a great actor.

Cohen and Reese (the other two captains) got on my nerves on an unimaginable level. Cohen was just bossy and rude and Reese was also demanding and unreasonable (making Tracy do an autopsy with Natalie? That isn't part of a cop's job description! And that time when he thought he was too good to listen to Nick's theories about the video game killer..what an ***). I would honestly have punched them and broke their jaws if they were my bosses.

Stonetree left a void that was never filled. The same way that Janette's departure left a void. Those two were my two favorite characters in the show and the only two who were never irritating and always a pleasure to watch.

Schanke, Natalie, Cohen, Reese, Tracy, and LaCroix (as much as I enjoyed his creepiness) were all incredibly irritating.

Captain Reese from the 3rd season.

BlackSnowflake, American police officers must attend autopsies of cases to which they are assigned. It's standard operating procedure. How else can they learn how the victim was killed?

Nick usually did it. This time was Tracy's turn..

Joe Stonetree-tough, but with a wonderful sense of humor. He was also very kind hearted and sweet.
