Eek the Cat on DVD

I don't know if anyone will read this but I figured out the long and short of what the deuce is going on with Eek. Eek as we all know was created by SSH and to get it on TV he needed a distribution network and in walks Saban. A Japanese media distribution network. You may know some of their work from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Dungeons & Dragons and other great 80's and 90's hit shows. Well to make a long story short the evil empire in America....No not $cientology, Di$ney. Bought out Saban. They own all their library and unless a petition can be presented to get them to release them enmasse, we will never see the entire Eek the Cat/Terrible Thunder Lizards.

I hate Di$ney sometimes.

I loved watching Eek! The Cat episodes when I was growing up in the 1990's. I loved that Eek Space 9 episode where William Shatner lent his voice to Star Commander Berzerk, a caricature of Captain James T. Kirk from Star Trek. I loved that Charlie Brown scene where Berzerk asks God, "What's the meaning of life?" God replies, "Wahwahwahwah." LOL!

I agree with Eek fans. Decent DVD/Bluray versions of the show should come out on home video some day.

I think the fact they they are currently re-airing these on Jetix and Jetix Play channels (in Europe) is a good sign that Disney see's the show as a viable income. Most likely after it is done with rerunning they will put it out on DVD. You see advertisers pay less to put their commercials on shows that are out on DVD. This is because the amount of viewers of shows released on DVD are naturally lower than shows that are not purchasable. I was very happy that they finally put Dinosaurs out, Disney is usually good with releases... but yes disney is pretty evil. Hopefully we can count on their greed to put this set out so we can hand them our money.

PS: "Air Pirate Funnies" is hilarious

Well I have my doubts. Maybe they would release it in Europe (I don't know, I'm not sure about these things) but for viewers elsewhere it doesn't seem likely.

I just don't trust Disney too much. If they do release it I have a feeling it'll be too late and of course it wouldn't sell. I could be wrong but in America we don't even have Toon Disney anymore. I literally haven't seen this cartoon in 10 years.
