'Remember Me'

Watching the episode, "Remember Me" now. And that youngest boy is being so meddlesome and sticking his nose where it doesn't belong. He should be corrected.
Know he means well, but it is not his business. And he doesn't know what all Jake has been through. Just because his dad is absent too, doesn't make them the same.
As someone who had an absent parent, I know that forgiveness doesn't come easy. Wish it was that simple. But after you do without and see the present parent work themself into an early grave, all because one parent didn't live up to their responsibility, it isn't easy to overlook.
And the boy saying it doesn't matter because he is his father is untrue too. Anyone can be a parent, but that doesn't make you a mom or dad.
And I understand that he had Alzheimers. But doubt he did when he ran off. He just wanted to live his life and search for gold, without responsibility.
Weak people should not reproduce.
