I agree with you. Eleanor was a feisty no-nonsense character, who could hold her own with any of her brothers. She was more interested in fighting than following the path of becoming a lady. She was also intelligent, and while her brothers were being deceived by the spy Genevieve, she saw right through her act, and made sure she got her comeuppance.
