Do any Americans watch bottom?
I have always wondered if Americans like bottom obviously Rik only made it big in America when he started in drop dead Fred.

shareI'm from New Orleans and I watch everything Rik and Ade are in. Drop Dead Fred wasn't really all that well-received, I became aware of them in Comedy Central's reruns of The Young Ones in the 90's. Which I didn't know were over a decade old at the time, I just figured musical tastes were different in the UK.
I think most Americans would love Bottom (the guys, at least) but it has never broadcast here. You almost have to be in the know, I only learned about it because of an ad on my Young Ones DVD. It would be ideal for Adult Swim or even a particularly ballsy PBS station on Saturday nights.
I love the show, but I might never have discovered it if a friend from England hadn't recommended 'Black Books' to me. I ordered the BB DVDs on his recommendation, and one of the promos was for 'The Young Ones,' which I then ordered, and the TYO set had a promo for 'Bottom.' I still need to get the 'Filthy, Rich, and Catflap' discs.
I keep hoping that BBC America will start airing Britcoms again; seems the only thing they show now are Sci-Fi/Fantasy dramas and reruns of 'Top Gear.'
