I know that the actor Tom Georgeson is from Liverpool, but something I read somewhere described Harry Naylor as a Scouse copper. I always thought Harry had a London accent. Anyway, TG was great in this, as were all the main cast. It features a number of excellent up-and-coming actors, such as John Hannah, Daniel Craig and Jonny Lee-Miller, and even Clarke Peters (Freamon from The Wire!). BTL was an excellent show that deserves to be discovered by more people.

The character has maybe been in the police in London for a while but I never got the idea that he was a Londoner.
There is an episode where he uses his contacts in his old home town to help an investigation.
Geogeson is a very convincing actor in everything he has done and he is great as Harry Naylor,Naylor is a great character,he is 100 per cent loyal to his boss even although his boss in younger than him and he does not always agree with his methods
