Yeah, I remember the commercial it was based on. Very accurate. I wonder if younger people will find it funny.

I show it to my high school students. Some of them find it hilarious, most don't get the joke.

I can't imagine someone finding this sketch funny unless they were remember what it was parodying. It's so hyperspecific that it wouldn't work without that frame of reference.

No, it doesn't. To this day, I can't find the original commercial on YouTube. Countless other Head and Shoulders commercials...but not that one.

I'm currently watching the series and I am only halfway through (on episode 7 now at the time of this posting), and I love and appreciate and "get" the shampoo sketch, but the sketch that had me cracking up the whole time was the marrionnette cop one. That was hilarious.
