Diversity in AYAOTD's casting

I must say, going back and watching the entire first run of the series again, the level of diversity in the casting is impressive. Whether you're looking at the casting of the stories or the Midnight Society cast, the diversity in the cast and the combinations of different types of characters was always nice to see.

And looking beyond different ethnicities of the cast, even when you look at the different living situations of all the families in the show it was never "ideal." I personally can't remember seeing very many episodes where the biological family was kept together. It was usually some combination of divorced or widowed parents, half siblings, step siblings, and if the family was together it was usually in a scenario where one parent was away or the child was visiting a relative.

It's just a nice bonus for a show that's already remembered for its creative ideas and chilling atmosphere.

I agree. I noticed that too. It was also a well-written show that both kids and adult could watch.
