'Cops on Trial' episode

Right at the very end of the episode. The presenter Bill Kurtis mentioned two other cases of police brutality/corruption. The first case he mentioned was of the shooting of Amadou Diallo:

The other one involved four officers who sexually assaulted a girl/woman with a toilet brush/plunger. He said it was three years before the Diallo incident, which would've placed it in 1996. It sounds bizarre and disturbing, I'd like to know if anyone can name the incident? Given the lurid happenings of that incident, it must've been one of great notoriety.
