Where is the house?

I remember nothing about the show except the fabulous house in Malibu with floor to ceiling glass doors, flowing sheer curtains, beyond which are patio and pool from which can be viewed the Pacific Ocean. Was this all special effects or was an actual Malibu beach house used for production? I've never found any listing at shoot locations sites.
