I recently secured a PAL vhs original of Yes Virginia, There is a Santa Claus starring Charles Bronson. The quality is Excellent near perfect. I had found out that this beloved christmas tv movie was released on video in Australia during the 90's ( A fact unknown to myself and many others). I had bought a copy of this movie years ago in the USA costing me $35 posted to Ireland. The quality was desperate and jumpy. So my long search had continued till recent. I am delighted with my original Tape. It has a nice cover and info about the companies who released it in Austrailia.I have tonight transferred it to DVD and The quality is Very Good. I am so happy.
Where did you get the video? It is one of my parents favorites and I've been looking everywhere for it. They have the version they taped off of TV when it originally aired, but it's old and cut off at places. I would greatly appreciate if you could tell me how you were able to get the great version. Thanks! Stephanie
I made a copy of this movie yesterday for my mom, because she has been asking for it for years, but we've never found the original movie before.
first you need to download "vuze" -- its a torrent downloader which will allow you to download the movie...you can find it here: http://azureus-vuze.en.softonic.com/
next, you need to convert the dvd folder to the actual disc, using the program avs disc creator, downloaded from: http://www.avs4you.com/downloads.aspx
I would love to get a copy of this movie. I did buy one in a dvd form but it was as your first one. I can't understand why this movie isn't played on the TV. Such a classic
My question is how you got the VHS... was there a website you were able to buy it from. I just got a copy for my mom on DVD, but you can tell it was taken from a taped-off-TV version... it's not horrible, but i would like to get a better copy.
