man, i'm glad i finally found out the title of this film! i remember watching this on tv when i was like 10 or 11 and it blew me away. first time i ever cried watching a movie. that scene wherein she runs across the cornfield (or some other kind of field) and collapses and starts shaking, and the guy holds her, that was heart wrenching. if only studio movies could be this good. and yeah, patricia arquette was awesome. me being that young at the time, i actually thought the director was using a real mute actress for the part.

Yes, for that reason they gave her a CABLE ACE AWARD, for me is her best film of all. If this movie had been for cinemas, She had won a Oscar. She is the best actress of the world.

It was a really sweet movie. I used to have it on tape but I lost it. I want to see it again. I wish they'd put it on TV again. I can't belive it was made in 1991! That's insane. It seems like only a few years ago! Very sweet love story. I love the ending when they dance...*sigh*

I saw this movie about five years ago and I loved it right away. I just ordered a couple of days ago from Amazon. I always try and watch it when it's on TV. I loved the performances by William, Patricia and Reese.

This was a well-acted, well-written and well-directed drama, and I was very impressed with the cast and Diane Keaton's direction. I can't say it's the best TV movie ever, but it's good enough for me to give it 7/10 stars.

The late film director Tony Scott stated in his commentary for True Romance, that he saw Wildflower and immediately cast Patricia Arquette as Alabama in TR. That's how affected he was by Wildflower. Says a lot. He had been considering other actors, but this clinched it.

I saw it as a late night movie years ago, sweet and endearing. Not to mention, it was fun to see Reese early in her career.
