Animal Rights Groups

How did the animal rights group who monitored the film feel about participating in a production that celebrated 'horse diving'. Not that they were wrong to be involved since Disney were going to make the film, but I wonder if they had any conflicted feelings about the production regardless of whether the on-set horses were treated fairly.
