Did she get the idea from Vertigo?

Watching the Alfred Hitchcock film Vertigo (in which one person tries to pass themselves off as two) I wondered if Audrey Marie Hilley wasn't trying to do it herself based on this idea?

I think Hitchcock could have made a classic out of this story -- sitting back and telling the world "ridiculous -- it is a true story!"

Very watchable here -- but clearly a cheap TV movie.
