I saw this in a theatre in 1982...

I am certain I saw this in a theatre the summer of 1982 - anyone else (first) see it then?

I see that it says 1990, here, but I know when I saw it for very personal reasons and I am positive! Must be some way to prove this...I will find a way.
Thanks for your observation, tho.

IF you believe, you can achieve. Shoot for the moon and you'll hit the stars!

Best of luck in your endeavor.

I think the OP might be confusing this with A Night in Heaven starring Leslie Ann Warren, who looks an awful lot like Susan Sarandon. The movie has a similar older woman/younger man plot too.

Here's an easy way to prove the year. Janie's headstone shows year of death 1988 and they state it has been two years since she died. Thus, the 1990 year would be correct.

How does that prove anything other than that part of the movie was set in 1990?

I saw this in the theater in 1990, I know for a fact it was 1990 not 1982 bacause in 82 I was 10 years old..., too young to watch this movie!!

Was Mr. Peabody and his WABAC with you at the theater?

You know the sound that Goofy makes when he falls? That's my quote.

If this had come out in 1982, Susan Sarandon would not have been nominated for a Golden Globe in 1991 for this role. It would have been impossible, since it's only eligible in the year it was released (1990).

I saw it in 1939. It was on a double bill with The Wizard of Oz.

I was born in 1968, but I remember seeing this film in 1927. It was the first ever talkie film, and was the first film in history nominated for an Academy Award.
