Who is Jack?

Well, Jack Conroy is basically the star of the movie. Played by Ethan Hawke, he is a young gold prospector who heads north to the Yukon with information his late father gave him about the whereabouts of gold somewhere up there in the Yukon. Once Jack has arrived in the Yukon, he teams up with a former acquaintance of his father's, a guy named Alex Larson, played by Klaus Maria Brandauer. Alex reluctantly takes the greenhorn Jack under his wing, and together they go out and eventually find the gold that Jack's father had told him about. Along the way, they encounter a beautiful wolf-dog, apparently abandoned by its mother, so they adopt it and raise it. Then the dog gets stolen from them by some bad people, and the story gets into further complications from there. I won't give away any more of the story. It is a beautiful movie, well filmed and nicely acted. I hereby command you to go find a copy and watch it. You won't be sorry.
