A DISSAPOINTMENT

This remake ends up going all over the place, with Lynn's insincere promoter, when the subject matter should had spent more time with the two sisters

And why did Lynn use that affected-voice that she did? Too seem older?

The ending shows Lynn commiting suicide in the end...too much info.

To me, one of the other big crimes done by this movie was wasting Amy Steel as the neighbor. It would have made more sense to cast her as Blanche's nurse rather than a guy. It could have made her death a little more terrifying.

I actually remember really enjoying this when it first aired. Compare it to the original masterpiece, you'll be disappointed. But I think it's a fine film on it's own. The Redgraves were indeed fabulous in their portrayals.

Fine actresses, especially Vanessa, but the best reason
to watch this is to find out what was so brilliant about Bette
Davis and Joan Crawford in the original.

She didn't commit suicide, the cop pulled her out of the water.
