Attempted murder on Bob

I know it goes hand in hand with the over the top nature of the movie but would Leo even give the idea a second's thought if this were real life. Call the cops for trespass and jail Bob. A repeat means a court order for Bob to maintain a certain distance. Done and done. Further, in the structure of Leo's character a murder would be too much of a mess. The legal system would be clean and simple. If Leo were so distraught about his vacation being ruined he could reschedule some time to be there around leaf change over time only a few weeks away from Labor Day.
