Ending

The version I watched ended on a very downbeat note - I got a copy of the film based on the wilipedia article and comments here, but the ending was different from any synopsis I read.

The wikipedia article said it ended with the couple going into the fields, but the one I saw ended with a smoke stack spewing toxins over the mongolian landscape and gombo's son saying how he now works in a petrol station.

Maybe I'll stick to Cave of the yellow dog and Mongolian Ping Pong
