This is such an incredible film and one of my favorites. I find it frustrating when a great film goes out of print. If you want a copy, you have to pay a fortune on Amazon to buy one.
I bought it in VHS but would love a copy in DVD. It would also have been nice to have one that had Anthony Minghella's (now deceased), the Director's commentary as well as the actors commentary.
It was reissued in the UK on dvd a few years back but not sure if it's still available. Sadly it had no extras.

All sorts of crappy movies no one wants to see are always in $4-5 bins, but you cannot obtain some quality titles without spending a fortune. One of life's mysteries, apparently.
I know, I haven't found this movie for under £30 and that was for a used rental copy :-/

i wasnt prepared to pay £30.00 quid plus for this dvd so i downloaded it from pirate bay, naughty but nice, i would have used my video grabber to transfer it but the vhs is copyrighted. i was going to give the vhs video away but if anyone wants it just email me and ill send it, i have no use for it now... obviously the person will have to pay postage. it is a wonderful film though
shareI will be listing a VHS copy of this film on Ebay starting this Sunday (Mother's Day). I bought it new and have viewed it once. An easy search will find it on Ebay starting 5/9/10.

Bought a copy recently in a charity shop for £6, was over the moon, as everywhere else the price is was too expensive.

shareIt's bizarre a film this popular is now deleted. I bought my copy from CEX (and sold it on for more than double the price I paid via Ebay ). So if you're in the U.K too you could also try that store, or charity shops.

shareJust checked Amazon and the price starts at $45. Given both the exceptional quality of the film and the high profile talent involved such as Alan Rickman and Anthony Minghella, it's really strange and a true shame that the film has gone out of print. Hopefully this could change in the near future with releases on DVD, Blu Ray, and online.
