How similar DON'T *beep* IN THE WOODS is to THERE'S NOTHING OUT THERE?

I recently saw a low budget independent horror film called DON'T *beep* IN THE WOODS(2016) written and directed by Shawn Burkett that has to do with a group of college kids that go out camping in the woods and encounter a alien monster that is aroused by the kids having sex in the woods and goes out killing them because of this. I find this movie's premise to be awfully similar to Rolfe Kanefsky's 1991 cult horror comedy THERE'S NOTHING OUT THERE. What do you horror fans think about this?
