ending scene...spolers

I got the impression that Duane was giving Carla the goodby look and she excepting he would continue with Jacy. Or was it something else. Anyone else had a thought on that scene. I do remember she saying he did meat her sexual needs but he would need to do it in the heart department. in other words maybe the look meant nothing as they were already going to stay together after the sex.
