Arnold Schwarzenegger's T-800 has mostly been a hero since his role reversal in Terminator 2, but the character was actually better as a villain.

Only reason why Arnold's T-800 was in T2 because he was a massive star and audiences, production and distribution companies wanted to see Terminator movies with Arnold in them.

Frankly everyone who hates Arnold being a good guy in this one can suck a bag of rocks.
