Rank the terminator films against the robocop films, here are my rankings:
1. The Terminator (1984)
2. Robocop (1987)
3. Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991)
4. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003)
5. Robocop 2 (1990)
6. Robocop (2014)
7. Terminator Genysis (2015)
8. Terminator Salvation (2009)
9. Robocop 3 (1993)
So yeah the Terminator franchise for me wins hands down
Terminator 1 is better than Robocop.
T2 is improves upon the action and set pieces but some may think T1's story is better. Robocop is still a great film but Terminator beats Robocop in both films.
Any films after those in either series are garbage cash ins.
Its like saying which is the best Haryy Potter vs Lord of the Rings VS Alien vs Predator. ......and then taking the last few movies as evidence when none of those movies count.
I actually would rather watch Robocop(1987) than T2 but both are amazing. Robocop 2 and T3 are watchable but nothing great, the rest are garbage.

The Terminator, T2, and Robocop (1987) are all outstanding, maybe a slight nod to The Terminator above the others for originality and execution. I would probably put it in the order I listed above, but all of them are great sci-fi films. The rest really don't matter lol.
Although I know it is widely hated, I didn't think Salvation was that bad. They tried to do something different which I respect; it just wasn't lasers and the story people wanted. Robocop 2014 wasn't bad either, but certainly not nearly as good as 1987.
I didn't hate the Robocop remake but at the same time I didn't like it, for me T1, T2 and Robocop (1987) are great films, T3, Robocop 2 and Robocop - 2014 are watchable , T-Genysis, T-Salvation and Robocop 3 are cinematic garbage.
shareOh yeah imo, all of the terminator and robocops are all watchable films. I just think that T1, T2, and Robocop are the only ones that are great movies.
I thought Salvation and Robocop 2014 were decent action flicks. The rest were below average films and some of them just bad, but certainly all still watchable. I mean unwatchable to me is like Jackie Chan's The Medallion, Human Centipede 1 and 2 (probably 3, haven't seen it haha), or Mortal Kombat Annihilation so it takes a lot. Just some movies you watch once and they never need to be watched again lol.
