I agree, I like his character in this film. Much more sophisticated and different from his country boy image in All for the Winner, for example. I just wish I could read all the signs the teachers hung around his neck!

just rewatched this last night...it's a lot funnier than I remember. maybe because I understand Cantonese better now.
The whole movie was hilarious, but my two favorite parts were:
1, cheating on the Chinese history test...LOLOLOLOL!!
2, him trying to do his homework. i love how he practices his English, saying "Policeman. Understand? Yes, good." Then he gets exasperated and says, "Understand? F**uuck!!" LOL.
I like his first meeting with the boss. The boss is checking him out like a flaming queen and he asks Stephen if he wants promotion. Stephen's like "I am not a male hooker sir!" The boss is like "WTF are you talkin' about!" and he's like "I value my chastity, sir!" LOL
