Barkin/Bracco Seduction Scene Gone???!!!

See trivia. Who the hell was the test audience, a buncha old prudes?
Anyone know if this scene is on a DVD release? I hope it will see the light of day.

I have not scene the deleted scene, but I think maybe the test audience disliked it not because it was same-sex, but because Barkin's charcacter was treating a woman the same way "Steve" seduced women and probably did not like seeing a female Cad.

Then again, it was 1991. Maybe we just hadn't come too far from the homophobic Reagan-era. (Evidence being apparently the audience didn't have any problem with the liberal use of the word f - g.)

And finally, if they were going to take advice from a test audience, why was Bracco's notoriously bad performance** even in the movie at all! (Maybe she played it as if her character was on Valium--a possibility.)

(**This was part of Bracco's "notoriously bad" quadrilogy: Switch, Even Cowgirls Get the Blues, Traces of Red, and Medicine Man.)

Which is the unfortunate hit it took in the reviews for "wimping out" on those scenes. The scene was shot, but probably would've been a catch 22. Their wimps for removing it, and critics would've been uncomfortable if it was left in. No-win.

I remember bracco and barkin dancing together and sharing a kiss, then they go back to braccos house, she starts kissing her, then she faints.
Was there more? Interesting.
