What song and by what band is playing when Sofia is writing about Jude in the kithen, as her friend comes out of the bathroom and says she hates the video and Julie says the singer looks mean and insensitive? It's immediately after the band is playing in the street.

It sounds very Cure-ish, post rock goth, whatever the hell you want to call it.

It wouldn't shock me if Hal Hartley actually put together a small band or played all the instruments himself because that seems like something he'd have done.
