Beyond brilliance

This film blew my mind.

This stands out to be one of the best action films of it's era. Was total surprise, a sleeper punch in the face of the swansong days of great action movies made in 80s to the 1995-1996 or so. Then came 1997, CGI, Matrix-clones to spoil the whole genre for so long, until Sly made his reboot of Rambo to put things on order again in big league. This gem of the movie, Stone Cold, holds a line with other greats of it's time like example Out For Justice, for fans Ritchie guy from that film plays one villain also in this one! There was still 80s feel in the game at 1991, but this is more of 90s big bang-action, explosions went just bigger. And there's plenty of those. And well timed tastefully punched one-liners and film is very brutal like action movies used to be at early 90s. Cheesy biker-gang with always excellent villain Lance Henriksen. Also Brian Bosworth with his hockey-hair style is one hell of a action star in this. Wonder why he didn't do more action-stuff at early 90s, this is such a kickstart. Anyone know the story? Second film came straight to video four years late on 1995? WTF, can't Hollywood recognize a true talent? If he's shape, this is my pick to next Expendables film.

The one liners are worth quoting 12 years later. Great supporting cast. Bosworth's attitude is pure alpha male.

Great film.
