Blue Velvet?

Does the scene when the greasers pick up Chip and scare him in their car remind anyone of Blue Velvet? It's like.. exactly the same. Even the knife.

OMG, never noticed but I think you might be right. Of coarse I would have rather had to handle the greasers than Frank Booth!
