Who would want a dirty old pair of shoes?

When the kid got a hold of the red shoes that were dangling above his head from the pole, his dad asked where he got them and the kid said that he wanted to keep them. Ugh. He didn't know where they had been or who had worn them. He could have contracted athletes foot from wearing them. Shoes and undies are always things that you buy brand new, unless it's a family member.
