Libertarians aren't anarchists. This movie is one of the few places you'll hear it.

What I hate is when Marxists riot (a la London, recently) and the media describe them as "anarchists".

It's true, that "Libertarians" (capital "L") aren't anachists, however, most libertarians (small "l") are basically anachists, to be precise, they are anarcho-libertarians. There is a small fraction of libertarians who are basically minarchists (those for limited government/State).

reply

"libertarian" meant "anarcho-communist" from about the mid 19th century to the mid 20th century when the anarcho-capitalist Randroids hijacked the word.

Boethius-Wheel, I was going to say the same thing. Very few people actually know this so I'm glad someone else out there on the internet is telling people the truth. Are you an anarchist?

reply

I captured today with video player and posted on Imugur

Hope somebody else would see it and recognize and laugh

I saw this film for free... and still wanted my money back.

He was on the ballot in 1988 as the Libertarian candidate, so it wasn't surprising in the least.

Just watched this for the first time in a decade - - it's the number one thing I didn't recognize the first five times I saw it (all within its first decade of release). What was Paul's reputation back then?

Well, for one thing, this was long, long before political jackals dredged up racist diatribes published under his name.

Back in '91, Paul was a spry young feller!

Ron Paul(with a jewish maternal grandmother) is a marketing scheme at it finest. He learned everything from Murray Rothbard, who learned everything from the his days in the Volker Fund.....which was established by the Rockefeller Syndicate, especially a young and spry David Rockefeller, who also ran the Trilateral Commission in the 1970's.

Most "countercultural" politics is controlled opposition to the current establishment. In Paul's case, he has always got a lot of 2nd party Rothschilds support after they lost the gold standard to the Morgan's dollar standard via the Kuhn/Loeb company. Which hired Peter Schiff and gave him his start.

Gaining market share is the key. It is all what the fight is about.
