Great idea. I'm going to go and talk to some people at my local video store who are totally into collecting DVD's and see what the best way about getting this done. Also gotta get 'Up the Creek' too! So many great lame movies, let's get 'em out!

Wow. It's been a while since I wrote in this thread! Thanks to the email notification of your post, I got the 411 to come back here.

This is a new development. Ski School 2 was not out on DVD when I posted last summer. Maybe there is hope for the original movie!

yeah, the dvd is crappy though. there isn;t even a menu of any kind. you put the dvd in, it starts playing, and thats all you get. no scene selection, no extras, no language selection, nothing. just the movie.

I saw someone selling a DVD of Ski School on eBay last summer. It looked like an Asian rip of the laserdisc encoded into Region 1 (or no Region at all).

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only person who loves this movie. It would be great to see it on DVD. This movie is my number 1 "guilty pleasure" movie. Bad but soooo damned good.

This movie rules!!!! Dean Cameron and Stu Fratkin are an awesome comic team. Ski School 2 did not do it justice....DVD!!! We need a DVD!

I would love a dvd...I will visit your site. I tried to dub my vhs copy onto a dvd using my dvd/vhs dual deck, but it had a block on it. Dayum HBO Video!!

Hear, Hear, let's demand a DVD release for SKI SCHOOL. If anything, it'll be just in time for the 15th anniversary to the greatest "PORKY'S-on-the-slopes" movie ever made. 1

Here in Quebec, we have a dubbed french canadian verson wich is hilarious. I usually prefer movies in their original form but this is an exception. We ski alot here so they all dub cheap ski movies with original Quebec contents (slangs, references to our culture etc). Ski Patrol is fun to watch too, only one hot chick but it's enough. I have Ski School 2 on dvd. Man this movie sucks, Dave is pathetic in the movie.

There's something funny about the dvd in french, Wendy Hamilton is topless with only skis hiding her nipple. In the english version, she has some kind of photoshopped bikini top added.

I have this movie on DVD. Bought it on eBay, watched it last night. It is a transfer from either TV or VHS, but the quality is real good. There is a title set, no extra features, but who cares. I would be willing to part with it for the right price. [email protected]

Hey everybody, as evidenced by the name I am a HUUUGE Ski School fan. I had been on the hunt for this movie on dvd since 1999/2000. I tried to have it special ordered at Suncoast, I tried to order it online and just about every other way that I could think to acquire the movie. What I found out was that there is a listing for the movie in DVD format, however it was never mass produced. I own a copy now that I found on either ebay or half and it sounds like the same one that a prior poster put up with only titles and scene selection. In other sad ski school news, it's very likely that these were ripped from VHS copies of the movie and in no way am I complaining. I also went on a big hunt for the soundtrack which there is no listing for anywhere. I'd imagine that this soundtrack was never released and if so it was also done in very small quantity as IRS Records isn't as prominent as it once was. Ski School 2 which was so inferior to the original seemed to have a much better budget and push. The script wasn't as good, neither were the shenanigans and the only actor from the original that they could get was Dean Cameron. Very sad.

Ski School was randomly on Showtime tonight (I was delightfully surprised -- I actually like both the movies. The lead girl in Ski School 2 is basically my dream), and it was 4:3 on Showtime's HD channel. Obviously it never hit the theaters? (I'm assuming it was never filmed in letterbox). And even on the HD channel, the quality was pretty shoddy... A VHS transfer would probably look the same as any DVD release. I'd still buy it though!

Come on everyone seems to want this. It is a funny movie. It's mind candy, you must release this on DVD. I am sure that we would all pay whatever to own this movie. Why release ski school 2 and not the first one? Come on you have a lot of peole who want it.
