When you ejaculate, your semen is not "throwable" like that. I don't know if others have tried to throw their ejaculate just after climaxing but I know that in my case, it would be impossible to do do like that. Maybe other people's semen is of a more "rubbery" consistency.

Haha, I must admit I feel somewhat debased by joining in with this conversation but... It really isn't a plot hole. I don't mean to offend but the proliferation of that accusation on this site is getting out of hand. A plot hole refers to a development in the plot that affects the story, is not explained by what we see on screen and in fact cannot be explained in any rational way. The story of SOTL would not be affected if that incident did not take place. If what the OP says is correct then this is a small goof or a minor indulgence on the filmmaker's part. Sadly I think it's unlikely to show up on one of those 'great movie mistakes' shows and for understandable reasons.

Its really insignificant... Had he not thrown his semen, I'm sure he could've spit on her or done something else that would have enraged Hannibal and the movie would have gone on the same.
