Dummy in Car

LOL watch the scene when the car gets crushed its hilarious. Not just the obvious dummy but the way the japanese guy acts. I have the DVD so I rewatched that part over and over. I never laughed so hard, no comedy can top this.

I love this movie it's so corny and bad it's good, just like Arnie's Commando.

haha, I really don't know who the filmmakers thought they were fooling.

Um, with as much of a low-budget film as this was, I dont think they film-makers where trying to fool anybody. Did you notice also that the actor who played the guy who broke his own neck in the police interrogation room re-appeared as either a different or the same character later on in the movie?

LOL. i laughed at that so hard. it was a dummy lifeless, yet you can hear the screams. lol

This is really weird, cos when I was young I had this on VHS and ALWAYS used to find that scene amusing and at the same time bizzare that the shot of the obvious motionless dummy was left in. Years later I got the Region 4 DVD (cos it's the only version that's fully uncut) and I notice that this sequence has been changed. You no longer see the dummy. So I guess at some stage they must have revisited this truly shocking bit! anyone else notice that?

Its only noticible in the fullscreen versions, when its shown in widescreen the top and bottom of the picture are matted off so you can't see the dummy.

You just hit the nail on the head!

Directors film these movies for a certain aspect and it makes it hilarious when the studio doesn't follow through on the DVD or VHS releases!

For example, there's a scene in Remo Williams when Remo is doing the balancing act on these poles and at the top of the screen you can see the iron bar shaking that's attached to the wires on his harness! It's funny to see - but when shown widescreen you wouldn't see the harness.

I had a fullscreen release of Pee Wee Herman's big adventure when it first came out back in the 80s and the scene where Pee Wee takes all that chain out of his bike to lock it up, on the fullscreen release you could see the chain going in the bottom of the plastic case on his bike. Always made me laugh.

just saw this part right now LoL!

That is my fave scene and it is missing on the EncoreHD version, here's hoping it isn't gone in the Bluray version... IF they ever make one.

Dummy apart, this really would be the most horrific way to die. I mean sitting tied in your car knowing that you were about to be crushed to death while all these guys just stood back laughing.... Ouch! Everything in your body would just snap and break under the pressure of the crusher.

Always thought that part was funny. But I think there is another that tops it. When the main bad guy is recruiting pushers for his drugs, one of the bikers smarts off to him. As you know, he takes the sword to the guy's hand and hacks it off. If you slow it down, you see the hand hit the floor and its still clutching the cigarette. I dont know why, but that part was the funniest for me.
