Who would win in a fight?
Murata or Kenner?
shareMurata
shareI think they were shown to both have their own advantages but overall to be equally matched. Kenner had greater upper body strength and Murata had greater speed and kicks, but it evened out so when they went up against each other, they were equal fighters.
shareI agree. It's summed up perfectly at the end of the first scene where they meet:
Johnny Murata: You know all of that upper body strength really slows you down.
Chris Kenner: I'm not slow.
Johnny Murata: You didn't hit me.
Chris Kenner: If I did, you wouldn't be here.
Johnny Murata: Not arguing. But you didn't...

Story
I was reading this thinking 'Who the F is Murata?' the only time I remember his name was when Dolph said 'Say hi to Johnny.' For the first half of the film I thought his name was 'Asian Task Force'.
shareKenner, because Murata had bad form?
shareNot's really an argument. Dolph's much bigger, even with relative similar skill level, his size and reach easily takes that match.
Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it.
Murata. Since when did Dolph ever had ANY martial arts background? NONE!! Murata worked his ass off. And Dolph looks like a f^cking dork as a "japanese warrior" C'mon, he looks like a big kid trying to play ninja. It doesn't go with him, sorry. Murata in the other hand didn't exaggerated his $h!t though.
shareWhat do you mean, "Since when did dolph ever have any martial arts background?" He's a former european karate champion. If you looked things up, you'd know that.
shareok, you might have proved me wrong there. but that japanese warrior look on him, still doesn't go with him. LA Cop, yes, Universal Soldier, yes, a Russian Boxer, yes, He-Man, fine, as the Punisher, ok, japanese warrior, no.
