Sandler and Bobcat at the crossroads of their career...

Why does an idiot moron like Adam Sandler get to make the exact same stupid romantic comedy over and over and over, and even worse, produce drool-inducing Rob Schneider movies, and a truly funny guy like Bobcat has to do voice work for TV sitcoms? Why hasn't anyone seen this movie, or even heard of it?

I saw this movie when I was younger and thought it was nuts. Thank god for the 90's. Best era for movies besides the 80's. Nowadays movies are just too dark and unfunny for my tastes. This walks the edge perfectly.

Because bland predictibility sells. Quirky and weird is risky, aka, more likely to tank.

I'd love to see Bobcat in more romantic comedies.

SPOILER!

This one was (sort of) a romantic comedy, with Shakes and Judy...their hug when he thought he killed Mr. Cheese made me feel "awww".

But yeah, I'd like to see Bobcat in more romantic comedies...he really can act (CSI anyone?).

What we don't know for sure, is if Bobcat has really ever wanted to position himself as the guy doing those romantic comedies or not. Bobcat showed he could act in this movie, but it might not have been something he really wanted to do. I think his standups are great and much rather see him be funny like that. Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider I don't know if either of them ever did stand-up or not, but I don't find either of them funny in anything they do. They are best suited for the crowd that don't really watch or think about movies, but look up at the screen between talking and texting to laugh at some car crash or visual gag.
