Almost a classic.

Great, twisted idea for a movie. The thing holding back this movie is the over acting in some cases and complete lack of acting ability in other cases. Tom Kinney, paul dooley and Bobcat give great performances but I can't help but cringe when almost everyone else open there mouths. I still like it, but it will never be what it should have been. Anyone else agree?

I think the heart of the problem was the script.

This movie had the makings of a classic - solid performances, great cinematography, but the script is a piece of crap.

UPD: now that I finished it at a second go, the script is not a piece of crap, it's just 50% story and 50% filler to stretch it out to feature length.

Yes, I love this movie, growing up as a kid watching this on VHS was great.
